NJ NATP In The Community

In January of 2019, we held a Winter Gear Clothing Drive for the Angels of God located in Pitman NJ. Learn about this 12 year old girl who paid it forward six years ago and continues to do so. Warning, this is a two tissue story. The 2019 focus charity is the Valerie Fund. Please help the New Jersey Chapter of NATP help children with cancer and blood disorders.

Several years ago the New Jersey chapter of NATP selected the Boy Scouts of America as a focus for an annual charitable cause. The purpose was to help send a disabled child to Boy Scout camp for a week. This campaign had been so successful that it continues to this day within the Monmouth Council of the Boy Scouts of America. The monies collected have helped send over ten children to scout camp for a week of fun and learning over the last several years. In order to support this cause, please send checks payable to the Monmouth Council, BSA to the charity chair of NJ-NATP. In the memorandum field of your check, please indicate “NJ-NATP Campership”.

The chapter has also been collecting box tops for education (www.boxtops4education.com) in order to assist the Midland School in North Branch, NJ (www.midlandschool.com). The Midland School also accepts monetary donations as well. The charity chairperson consolidates the box tops and labels before sending our collections to the Midland School throughout the year. Whether you send one box top or a bunch, any donation is appreciated. Ask your clients to help. If you register your grocery affinity cards to both websites, you can augment your donations!

Our chapter will be happy to recognize any youth who receive the highest ranks in boy scouting; girl scouting; venturing or sea scouting. Please forward the contact information of any deserving youth that you would like the New Jersey chapter to recognize. The deserving youth will receive a congratulatory letter.
